Corinthians defender Dodo has revealed he has a deal in place with Italian giants AS Roma.
The Giallorossi officials and new boss Zdenek Zeman are looking for ways to reinforce the squad following a very disappointing season.
Defensive reinforcements appear to be a priority and it seems Roma have already wrapped up a deal for Brazilian defender Dodo.
The 20-year-old announced via his Twitter account that he is set to sign for the Olimpico outfit.
“Tomorrow I will be in Italy. I’m going to Roma,” Dodo said.
“It is a club that proved it believes in me, despite my difficult moment after the injury. I will work hard on the field and I’m very happy with this decision.
“A new phase of my career begins now.”
The talented full-back suffered a difficult knee injury midway through the season and only returned into action in May.
The full-back, who is regarded as the next Roberto Carlos in Brazil, started his career in Corinthians in 2009 but has since appeared in just 9 league games for Timao.
Dodo spent last one on loan at Bahia, and managed to score one goal in 14 league appearances.
