The 20-year-old striker has caught the eyes of a number of clubs across Europe with impressive performances for the Austrian club, earning his senior international debut with Germany in September. In all competitions this season, he has 22 goal involvements (18 goals, four assists) in 28 matches in all competitions, and it seems he s now set to take the same path as Erling Haaland, who left Salzburg to join Dortmund in January 2020.
Adeyemi appears highly likely to turn out a direct replacement for the Norwegian sensation, whose €75 million release clause that kicks in this summer should not deter the likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain or Manchester City from making their move for his services. Dortmund are still trying to convince Haaland to sign a new contract and stay put, but that seems very unlikely at the moment.
